The short rules.
By installing or using Susanoo, you agree to these terms. We try to keep them short, fair, and the same shape as the product itself.
1 · The agreement
These terms form an agreement between you and ZakRS Tech ("we", "us"), the publisher of Susanoo (the "App"). They apply when you download, install, or use the App on any device.
If you don't agree to these terms, don't install the App. If you've installed it, you can uninstall at any time and the agreement ends with respect to future use.
2 · Your licence
We grant you a personal, worldwide, royalty-free, revocable licence to install and run the App on devices you own or control. You may use it for any lawful purpose, on any number of your own devices.
3 · The classifier and the rest of the code
The on-device classifier and its tracker rule format are released under the MIT licence at version 1.0 — you can read it, fork it, audit it. The rest of the App (UI, brand assets, weekly-report layer) is proprietary to ZakRS Tech. Don't repackage it under a different name and ship it as your own.
4 · What you may not do
- Use the App to violate the law in your jurisdiction, or anyone else's.
- Strip the brand and republish a clone — see §3 above.
- Reverse-engineer or tamper with cryptographic verification of rule bundles with the intent of installing malicious or counterfeit bundles on other people's devices.
- Attempt to overwhelm or attack our update CDN.
The App is built to be auditable. Honest review and security research are welcomed and explicitly within bounds. If you find a vulnerability, write to qat@zakrstech.com — we'll respond.
5 · Pricing and the Plus tier
The Free tier is the whole product for most people, and is genuinely free — no card required, no trial-to-paid conversion. The Plus tier ($3/month or $24/year, when launched) and the Family tier ($8/month, when launched) are optional upgrades that fund the company. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and the App reverts to the Free tier.
Payments are processed through Apple's App Store or Google Play. Refunds are handled by those platforms under their respective policies; we do not take payment directly.
6 · No data collection by Susanoo
The App does not transmit your observation data off-device. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture. The privacy posture described there is part of this agreement — if it ever materially changes, we will say so in writing and you may end the agreement by uninstalling.
7 · As-is, no warranty
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't promise the App is bug-free, or that it will identify every tracker, or that it will work on every device.
Privacy tools have limits. Susanoo observes metadata your phone is already emitting; it cannot stop traffic that bypasses the local VPN, and it cannot see encrypted payloads. Read the FAQ on the home page for the honest list of what each platform does and does not allow.
8 · Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ZakRS Tech is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, lost profits, or business interruption — arising out of or in connection with your use of the App. Our total aggregate liability for any direct damages is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD 100.
Some jurisdictions don't allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusion of certain damages. In those places these limitations apply only to the extent permitted, and you may have additional rights.
9 · Termination
You may end this agreement at any time by uninstalling the App. We may end it (and stop offering the App) at any time for any reason, including if we are required to by law, or if you violate these terms. On termination, any locally-stored observation data on your device is yours to keep, export, or delete.
10 · Changes to these terms
If we materially change these terms, we will update the Last updated date above and announce the change in the App's release notes. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the new terms. If you don't agree to a change, uninstalling ends the agreement.
11 · Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York. Nothing in this section limits your rights as a consumer under mandatory local law.
